I can't find any information about this hardware error that caused windows to stop working.

Any help appreciated.

I believe the problem was caused by 2 data moving instances being accidentally started at the same time, but have not been able to duplicate.

The lock up caused 1 programs profile file to be mutilated, but it was recoverable.

Thank you for that link. It explained exactly what was going on my system. 2 tasks demanding that the other let go of the resource.

I am relieved that it was 2 tasks fighting and not a hardware failure.

    Thanks again.
