Windows 11 Error Code - 0x80248007

Question

I tried updating to windows 11 22h2 insider preview but I got this error. 0x80248007. Pls help

I did try clearing out the Software Distribution folder

Have you had issues with 22593 as well as 22598 upgrading. You should not be using 3rd party AV on these Insider builds as they tie deep into the OS and may not be compatible with the new code of these builds. I would recommend removing Norton using their removal tool to get all remnants as uninstalling may not remove all the code. You can re-install Norton after the upgrade, but you might be facing same issue again.

Suggest downloading the ISO for build 22598, mount the image and try an in-place upgrade running setup.exe within windows. This retains all settings. As with any upgrade, ensure all important files are backed up off device.

Downloading it as an iso worked
