Edge update causing printer problems

After the latest Edge up date 8 April I am unable to print from any of my devices using Edge. After I use the print function the printer dialog box opens and all I see is a spinning circle. Then Edge stops responding. I had no problems before this update. I have tried all the fixes recommended my MS but nothing works. I had no issues before this update.

    Both my devices now do print pdf files in Edge but it takes 44 seconds from selecting Ctrl P to the print preview to com up. Then pressing Print here works as normal. The 44 second delay is the problem now.

    I am having the same problem, - Microsoft, what is the timeline for a fix 'We want to let you know that we fixed an issue that's related to this feedback in an upcoming update to Microsoft Edge.' ?

    Same issue on many machines in our organisation, machines that won't print in Edge also fail in Chrome as well which suggests chromium issue in general? When checking event viewer after a failed print in edge I see this error:

    I'm still getting this issue even on a newer version of Microsoft Edge:

    Version 112.0.1722.39 (Official build) (64-bit)

    Any update? It's affecting a lot of PC's in my org.
