Hi Edge Community,
Though Microsoft Edge is slower and uses more CPU-RAM than Chrome, its new Sidebar feature has compelled me to return to it.
I have a CSV file of passwords.
But the option "Import Password from a CSV file" is missing in the most recent stable version**(Version 107.0.1418.26 (Official build) (64-bit)**, so I can't import passwords into Edge from the CSV file.
When Microsoft Edge was in version 103, I used the "Import Password from a CSV file" feature.
After updating Edge, I couldn't locate the "Import Password" Edge flags in Edge:/flags.
(This screenshot is taken from my Windows 10). "Password CSV File" option is missing here. Latest stable version of Edge.
(This screenshot is taken from a blog post. This shows that, "there was an option called "Password CSV file" in older version of Edge.)

Ok. I've experimented with the extension. And it would work just fine if it wasn't linked to a personal account.
I'm the IT guy for a company, that has Office 366, that has been pushing Chrome, but now is pushing Edge.
I'm having a very difficult time getting people to make the change when I'm unable to move their passwords from Chrome to Edge.
How do I get passwords in with an Office 365 account vs a personal account?
I was in a similar situation. I had to move passwords from Chrome on one laptop to a Office 365 account on edge on another laptop.
Since the import CSV option is removed in edge I had to to the following.
From Laptop A, Export passwords as CSV file.
You passwords should now have moved over, I would delete the CSV file afterwards.
If you are doing this for people without having to change machine, then I would imagine that just doing step 4, and 5 would suffice, assuming chrome is running.
I hope that helps
Thank you. That's exactly what I did.
The question is...
Why is this? Why is has the CSV option been removed from Edge?
As the Autofill extension only works with personal accounts, I had to find a workaround.
I only had a few users to do so was able to import from CSV into Chrome by enabling the "Password Import" flag using chrome://flags.
Once the flag is enabled you can go to chrome://settings/passwords and the Import Password option is now available when you click the 3 dots.
With the passwords in Chrome, I was able to import them into Edge from Chrome here: edge://settings/profiles/importBrowsingData
This last step should be all you need if the passwords are already in Chrome.
