new to edge workspace. previously whenever i shut down or restart the PC, upon restarting and clicking edge, the tabs that were open will be restored. however not edge workspace.

1)I tried https://winaero.com/how-to-enable-workspaces-in-microsoft-edge/ doesn't work as well. speaking of which, i followed and did "Add --enable-features=msWorkspaces after the msedge.exe portion in the Target box." but it doesn't do anything. in fact any restart i lose all my opened tabs(I have set open tabs from previous session). deleting the line i added doesn't help.

  1. i see it in favourites, but clicking on it does nothing

  1. its greyed out

    Hello Daniel_tan

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Regarding to your information I assume that you want to use the workspace in Edge.

According to the article from Microsoft Learn the Workspace in Edge need the users must have an Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)

tenant and Microsoft Edge version 106 or greater installed.

You can visit this website to get detailed information about this feature.

The issues on Workspace is out of reach of the response support community. It is more suitable for publishing on Microsoft Learn (English only),

you can click on "Ask a question", there are experts who can provide more professional solutions in that place.  Here is a link to the forum where you can raise specific scenarios and share your idea to help solve the problem. Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Q&A

I won't be able to help you, but I'll leave that question open in case one of our amazing volunteers has ideas for you.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,

    new to edge workspace.

Does this mean that you're trying out the preview of Workspaces for consumers, which was released last week along with Dev release 113 build 1174? If so, there may be some conflict or incompatibility between workspaces created under the Enterprise scheme and new ones under the consumer preview. You'll find an overview of the new preview here: Microsoft Edge Workspaces public preview - Microsoft Edge Blog, where you'll see that the minimum Edge version required is 111.0.1661.51.

    1)I tried https://winaero.com/how-to-enable-workspaces-in-microsoft-edge/

If you look at that article again, you'll see that it's two years old and it's very likely that it no longer applies in detail. In particular, there's no need for a command line switch.

If you have an invitation to join the preview, creating a new workspace or opening an existing one shared with you by another preview user should cause the Workspaces button to be displayed in the top left-hand corner of the window when you're signed in with the appropriate Microsoft Account:

Clicking on this should reveal the names of the workspaces you belong to.

If you're in fact using the Enterprise version released last year, you'll be better off asking at the Q&A site as Tommy recommends.

1)im on the consumer one thus here.
2)clicking on the button as mentioned before you replied, does nothing

3)noted that https://winaero.com/how-to-enable-workspaces-in-microsoft-edge/ is old. i reinstalled edge. will that remove the "Add --enable-features=msWorkspaces after the msedge.exe portion in the Target box." ?
