Opening an XML file using Microsoft Edge

My employer is a Microsoft partner and we produce a software that creates XML files for displaying the results of some calculations (text, figures, tables, equations, etc.)

These XML files can be opened correctly using Internet Explorer 11. IThey can also be opened correctly if I choose Office XML Handler.

But if I try opening them using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, all I see if a blank screen. Any suggestions since I don't know how much longer you will allow IE to reside on our machines?

Sophia Papadopoulos provided some suggestions but unfortunately they haven't helped.

    OK Thanks Dave. I assume that it is because the XML file is based on a version 1 format which dates back to 2014 is perhaps not supported by Edge.

    The first two lines of the XML file looks like this

    <?xml version='1.0'?>

    <?xml-stylesheet type='text/xsl' href='footing.xsl'?>

    I will contact the developers forum.

    Thanks

    Kris

    Hi Kris/Dave.

    Were you able to get any reply on this in the other forum? Can I assume that the link provided above is for the developers' forum?

    Thanks

    Mike
