You may open Microsoft Edge and navigate to edge://settings/sidebar and you should see Copilot and you may click on it and then turn it off.
Sidebar is turned off and there is nothing about copilot in sidebar settings
This is as far as you can go toward removing Copilot from Microsoft Edge:
The Open Copilot icon that I have circled can't be removed, but if you don't click on it, you won't open Copilot.
If you're concerned about accidentally clicking on the icon, then enter your search terms in the Address Bar instead of the Search Bar. (The Address Bar is the one that says "Search or enter web address".)
