As far as I know, it isn't possible to get rid of Edge completely. However, you can install some other web browser and set it as the system default.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I have Windows 10 Pro running my computer and would like to completely get rid of Edge. I don't use it and don't plan on ever using it so it's basically just a nuisance to me. Any help would be appreciated.

Microsoft Edge is the web browser recommended by Microsoft and is the default web browser for Windows. Because Windows supports applications that rely on the web platform, our default web browser is an essential component of our operating system and can’t be uninstalled. To provide our users with compatibility, compliance, accessibility, and performance, we'll continue updating Microsoft Edge through the browser installer or Windows updates.

I hope this is helpful! Best Regards, Utkarsh
Search for MSEdgeRedirect. It'll fix it so all links open in your default browser, as well as letting you change your search engine, and other settings from the Microsoft defaults.
Hi Wild C, I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor here to help you. Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Sorry, but you cannot remove Edge - this is by design. It is the same for all Operating systems like Android and MacOS, where Chrome and Safari cannot be uninstalled. Edge facilitates some critical components of OS functioning, like Windows Spotlight, so even if someone tells you to remove it, it will probably create issues down the road.
If you search from the Taskbar, it will redirect to Bing - also by design.

Hope this helps.
