Improved Copy-Paste gone???

Question

I assume you got rid of this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/improved-copy-and-paste-of-urls-in-microsoft-edge-d3bd3956-603a-0033-1fbc-9588a30645b4 ? Or at least is not working any longer; it worked last Friday... Stupid things happen over the weekend... like losing all my Word headings shortcut keys and having to do one by one again!!

Looking at the Reddit post, it looks like the feature is available in the Beta channel, so hopefully it finds its way back into the production version soon.

I can confirm that this is happening with multiple users in our org. Was there one day gone the next. We remove edge completely, reinstall and its back for a few days. Then it disappears again. Share, Copy, Paste setting missing from side pane in settings. Attempting to navigate to edge://settings/shareCopyPaste does not work either, just goes back to the home screen of the settings page.

The conversation points out two useful things:

1. There is a Chrome extension that can be used in the interim, Copy As Hyperlink - Chrome Web Store (google.com). Haven't tried it yet.
2. One of people in the thread on October 4 got a response that the feature is not permanently removed but is currently in testing to be added again. Not sure the accuracy of the post, but it's hopeful at least.
