Microsoft "Fix It" doesn't run (Error Code: 2755)

Am trying to use Microsoft Fix-It to repair my Windows Update software.  The installation of the "Fix It" program stops itself and gives Error Code 2755:  "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package."
