Single Tenant multiple Domains setup for O365

Hello, We plan to setup a single tenant for our organization with multiple domains for different business units (BUs).
I have two questions:

  1. What are the different ways to restrict different business units from accessing each others site collections.
  2. Is there a way to restrict various domain users from appearing in the search results of the people picker of a specific BUs site.

    Today we have Information Barrier to block access within Teams but both SharePoint and OneDrive are in development. With this function you can create two BU and separate them from each other. Even in the people picker. Another solution are to use Microsoft Information Protection to classify document with different labels for each BU so the users cannot access wrong information.
