Write.exe doesn't work in Windows 7

Question

I'm using write.exe from several year ago, because it was the first word processor in Windows 95, and from then I was using it with windows 98, 2000, XP, etc.  but this applicantion doesn't work with windows 7. The compatibilyty solver doesn't give a solution. I have hundred of documents done with this application and I can't use them now. Others word processors doesn't open it correctly ¿ Can somebody give me a solution ?

I have not Corel Wordperfect , but it would be interesting to try if it can open the  .wri files correctly.  I can send you some files if you want.

There are plenty of free file converters out there that can change those .wri files to any other text format you wish to use. Use your favorite search engine to find these.

I don't use it either but you can download a free trial version from Corel and try it yourself.

Hi

Now, I see my problem with write.exe is a very little problem, because in 2 days I have get more problems with programs.

The last one it is the printer driver HP Deskjet 3845, after the installation ended with " El sistema operativo de este equipo no es compatible. La instalación no puede continuar hasta que no se resuelva este problema.  SO actual: 601    Compatible: Windows98, WindowsME, Windows2000, WindowsXP " 

I have look for the driver and in the HP site, say there is no driver for windows7, but the computer must have drivers compatibles with this printer. I follow the steeps by HP and I don't find the driver.

They have the .WRI extention.
