Can't drag-and-drop from Outlook to .NET app after latest updates

We have some in-house software that takes files by drag-and-drop. Over the past couple of weeks, it appears that as people are updating Outlook (365 build 13127.21064), they can no longer drag-and-drop to our software. I think it's .Net-based, but it is no longer being updated.

Is there something we can do to fix this in Outlook? Drag-and-drop still works from File Explorer, btw. We can save the attachment, and then upload it to the software, but that makes the process much slower, and requires additional training for our users.

Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. I manually updated to the Current Channel (build 13628) but the problem persists. I may try reverting back to a previous version, but that sounds like more of a hassle than it's worth for a small issue like this. I did find this GitHub Outlook Add-in MSI that fixes the problem: https://github.com/tonyfederer/OutlookFileDrag

    Hi @J. J. DiUbaldi ,

Considering that the issue is related to your specific .NET app, so I might not be able to do the same tests in my environment.
I noticed that the Outlook version 13127.21064 you mentioned is not the latest version, it is suggested for your to try updating one of those problematic Outlook clients to the latest version and check if the issue has been resolved in the newer version.

By the way, I tried some search about the drag-and-drop behavior to .NET app but have not found much useful information yet. If necessary, as a workaround, you could also try to revert to an earlier version of Office to get this feature back. For more information, please check this article: How to revert to an earlier version of Office.
