Windows Speech Recognition Macros

Dear Sir or Madam,

I’ve got problems starting Windows Speech Recognition Macros. Whilst Windows Speech Recognition itself runs fine, the macros just won’t start but prompt the error message: „Can't start speech macros—Windows speech recognition macros was unable to initialize its command system to begin operation“. I’ve already found that thread (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_vista-windows\_programs/wsr-macros-error/689ade0e-87e1-4d40-b24a-ee9e19ebe4fc) and followed those suggestions without success.

On a private forum I’ve just read of somebody encountering this problem only when trying to run WSR Macros by autostart, but not when starting it manually later. Might it be that WSR Macros requires something—e. g. a service running—which usually (and on his machine) isn’t started right after startup but somewhat later, and which on my machine in contrast isn’t started at all for some reason? Many thanks in advance and

Best Regards

Robert

p.s.: Here some details on my system:

Windows 7 Home Premium

x64 based PC

Intel Core i3 CPU 2.93 GHz

    Hi Robert from Germany,

You need to refer to the Microsoft Developer Network Platforms (MSDN) archives by referring to the link mentioned below –

    http://archive.msdn.microsoft.com/wsrmacros

    Hope this helps!!

    Hi Sourav,

thanks for your quick reply. Regrettably I can’t find any answer to my particular problem following that link. Instead, there seem to be more people having the same problem as I’ve got, but it looks like nobody has a solution to it as yet.

Doesn’t anybody know which background services or so WSR Macros might be missing?

    Best Regards

    Robert

    Dear Mr Markoe,

thank you for your reply. I’ve already tried un- and reinstalling the programme several times, but without success.

My problem seems to be a rare, but known one. However, nobody seems to have found a solution to it yet, see e.g. here:

    —http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/problem-with-vista-speech-recognition-macros/782f75b3-e996-4f3d-942c-b23f08edcdce

I’ve also already tried those other suggestions without success. Thus any further help is very appreciated! Many thanks in advance and

    Best regards,

    Robert Pfeffer
