is it possible to interface project and outlook?

after preparing the project, I ask if it is possible for the resources concerned to send information on the progress or closure of the phase through the outlook calendar?

    Please kindly understand that here I mainly focus on general issues about Outlook desktop client but know few about Microsoft Project.

    As I know, there seems to be no official methods to interface project and outlook. And according to my search, there seems to be some third-party methods which could help achieve it. Please check the information in the following threads:
