Hello everyone! Well I have been getting this blue screen of death thing. As stated the error says KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR 0x7a ntfs.sys and won't even let me try to do a search or use any of my three browsers :/... I don't know how long have I been trying sometimes it let's me do stuff and sometimes it doesn't like today the computer restarts by itself and has done that 12 times now. I got somehow to install a new antivirus and found 11 deathly creatures and 3 rootkits... Now I would love someone to help me out with this... What can I do?? And will appreciate if you put it in "non PC master race" words because even tho I do understand a lot I am a chef not an IT person or sort. Please!!! I tried defragmenting the disk, errors, etc but it keeps found the same.. Here is a picture I was able to take with my cellphone. Also while surfing it gives me some error codes I am also attaching the pic. I would love and appreciate your help so much!

    Hi again!

    I checked for spyware and root kits and related as your response said downloaded the tool from karsperski  updated drivers uninstalled weird programs and apps disabled the auto restart from the laptop... Made a backup of my files defragmenter and by now this is my try at "safe mode with networking" (see attached image) I told my boyfriend that it was the HDD but he never accepted my opinion ... I  not an expert but I think is that... I can't do anything else now this screen is been on for an hour and I is the first time it's done this

    Hi,

    Reboot and see what happens.

    Try Safe Mode and run these :

    Start - type in Search box -  COMMAND   find at top of list -  RIGHT CLICK  -  RUN AS ADMIN

    At the ADMIN Command Prompt type in or copy and paste :

    sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=c:\windows

    If the above fails to complete then there are probably disk corruption issues :

    Disk issues can get serious very quickly so I would thoroughly check the drive now and

    be sure to keep redundant backups of your important data (use several methods). Use

    the Advanced Methods and the Manufacturer's Diagnostic Utilities.

    Inside Windows - Regular or Safe Mode (repeatedly tap F8 as you boot).

    Run checkdisk - schedule it to run at next start and then Apply OK your way out then restart.

    Hey again!

    I tried the sfc /scannow in cmd says the verification was 100% complete and not integrity violations were found. However I tried to start the computer as regular and as soon as I log in my session now and try to do something the screen turns completely black and nothing else happens... I think I'm done and will try to format it I had already two backups of my data in sky drive and in a memory card ... Good thing I didn't have many stuff but just the fact I use it for work, school and play online makes me upset :/

    I give up! But I thank you for not giving up and always giving me a helpful answer or idea... You are amazing!

    Guess what? I am actually responding from my actual computer in regular mode :D

    Is not that I want to be a negative person but let's see how long it lasts!!

    Good thing is that I am not as bad with computers as I thought... Never have taken computer classes or sort! But without your guidance I couldn't have done this :D
