I don't even know if this is the right place to ask this question, but here goes!

I've been trying to send an email on numerous occasions via the web in Internet Explorer. Every time I try to do so I get this message 'Invalid request - request sent without session'.

Can anyone please tell me what exactly this means as I can't find out. What do I need to do to overcome this situation and thus send the email which I wush to send.

Since my last post, an interesting development.

When I was trying to get a screen shot, the only way that I could do so was to create a new email so instead of the longer one which I was originally trying to send I created a brief one. When I tried to submit this it actually worked OK and a message that I didn't intend sending was sent and received!.

Having got that far, and thinking that the problem had resolved itself, I tried sending the full original message. This time it failed again.

Leads me to wonder if the problem is caused either by the length of the message or a time limitation.

    Hi Jessen P

    Yes, that is correct.

I've followed your instructions but cannot download my screenprint. Whenever I try to do so it selects the file ok but when I press upload it comes up with the 'no entry' sign. The file ref is untitled.png. I tried changing it to .jpg but that didn't work either.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Gordon,

    Thank you for the update.

It looks like you are facing the issue only while using the equipment manufacturer's option.

Please provide a screenshot of the issue in hand:

    Hi JessenP

Thanks for coming back to me re this subject.

Firstly, yes, I have had a lot of problems with my computer which finally resulted in me having to take my computer back to factory condition and reinstall all of my programmes and systems. However, as a result everything is working fine now, including WLM.

My problem is that I've been trying to resolve an issue on another piece of equipment. Unable to find a satisfactory answer to my query on the web, via Internet Explorer, I've tried to use the equipment manufacturer's option to email them via the internet. It is here that the problem arises and I get the 'Invalid request' advice.

I've checked my WLM settings and they seem to be OK, validated by the fact that I have no problems sending and receiving 'normal' emails.

The other references you gave me don't seem to be of any help.

    Hi Gordon,

Were there any software applications that you installed on the computer recently?

This is the right place to ask questions about Windows Live Mail.

I know how it feels when things don’t work properly.

For starters, kindly remove and reconfigure your email settings. This will serve as an initial troubleshooting step to make sure that this is not contributing to the issue.

You can check the suggestions by Alix Xedjhidee M. from the link mentioned below and see if it helps.
