Mouse and keyboard input not working after windows 10 upgrade from windows 7.
I upgraded to the window 10 tech preview from windows 7 and now my mouse and keyboard dont work once the os loads up and brings me to the sign in screen. I cant even roll back to windows 7 now because I have no mouse input except for when the bios splash screen is showing. Any help would be amazing thank you.

2016-10-10T05:59:19+00:00 This just happened to me, but it wasn't just after an upgrade from Window 7 to Window 10. I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 months ago. Everything was working fine, and then last night my HP Desk-side PC just hung, and would not accept input from the USB connected keyboard or the USB connected mouse. The only thing I could do was power it off. During the rebooting process, I was able to enter ESC or use the F10 key to go to Boot Setup, so I knew I didn't have a hardware problem, since the keyboard was working during the boot-up process. However, as soon as I let the system boot to Windows 10, the keyboard and mouse were rendered inoperable. My conjecture was that somehow the keyboard/mouse drivers had become corrupted.
Fortunately, we have another lap top running Windows 10, so I created a System Repair Disk for Windows 10 on that laptop. I then used the system repair disk to boot my HP desk-side PC. When the system booted, it asked what type of keyboard was attached? I selected "US" and then selected the option to boot the system. This time when the system booted, the keyboard and the mouse were working.
I'm not sure what caused the problem, or if somehow the system repair disk checked the driver(s) for the keyboard and mouse and determined that they needed to be fixed/updated, but this process did fix the problem.
So, if you're having this problem, use a system repair disk for Windows 10 to boot your system and see if you get the same results. Hopefully, you've already created a system repair disk, or can find another Window 10 system to create one.

2017-01-15T02:52:19+00:00 My PC came pre-loaded with Windows 7, so I did not have a Windows 7 Installation CD. However, I did have a Windows 7 system repair disk, but I didn't think about using it since I was trying to fix a problem with Windows 10.
