Mouse and keyboard input not working after windows 10 upgrade from windows 7.
I upgraded to the window 10 tech preview from windows 7 and now my mouse and keyboard dont work once the os loads up and brings me to the sign in screen. I cant even roll back to windows 7 now because I have no mouse input except for when the bios splash screen is showing. Any help would be amazing thank you.

2017-10-13T05:30:23+00:00 I still have sporadic loss of Windows 10 recognizing USB mouse and keyboard, though they are recognized by the BIOS for F2, changing settings, etc. before the initial Windows splash screen. The LED on the mouse turns off as Windows boots as if Windows is intentionally turning off USB ports.
Suggestions below are at your own risk. If unsure, consult with a qualified computer technician. It is recommended you verify that you have backups of important information before modifying your computer system configuration.
As I mentioned before, one fix is to boot an install DVD, interrupt the install and enter recovery mode, then go back to a previous restore point - if you have one.
New: fix #2: if you are lucky enough to have a serial port and an old Microsoft or compatible serial mouse: power off, connect the mouse and boot. Windows should auto detect the serial mouse. You can click the disability icon on the sign-on screen to use on-screen keyboard to log on. Next, open the settings panel, hardware devices. Scroll to the bottom of the hardware list, then delete the devices in the hardware USB tree. The USB devices should be rebuilt at next boot. Shut down and disconnect the serial mouse. Boot up, and the USB should be detected and your keyboard and mouse should now work.
