Windows on screen keyboard and ALT codes

My laptop has no numeric keypad nor Numlock. How can I enter multiple digit ALT codes on the virtual OSK (on screen keypad) ?

You only seem to be able to enter 1 digit ALT. Seems pretty useless that this does not seem to have ever been addressed. Must be a better way than going to character map.

Thanks

I had the same problem, my laptop has the separate numeric keys on the right hand side of the keyboard. Press the button Num Lock. Then hold down both the Fn and the Alt keys with your left hand and type in the ALT code you want on the keyboard (not the numbers across the top of the screen). When you release the Fn and Alt keys the symbol you want appears in your open Works document.

There is a good list of ALT codes on www.lawlessfrench.com
