Original title: windows 7 update doesn't work

Have tried all  resources to fix Windows 7 update not working and it says it never has updated. Help!

Error code: 80244004

Tried clean boot, Mr FixIt, etc.

Windows for home | Previous Windows versions | Windows update

    As I reported on Jan. 3, I still have no luck solving the update problem. 

    Would appreciate more helpful suggestions, something that I haven't done already.

    Still have failure.  Followed instructions exactly 4 or 5 times.  Still error code: 80244004
