Hi, this crash is hapenning the last few days. I don't have anything new on my hardware except a CPU fan which is working fine (rpm are stable, CPU temperature is normal and stable). I am using widnows 7 ultimate x64, Avast Internet Security, running on i3 2100 3.10GHz and all my drivers are updated according to Live Update 6. I ran my adwcleaner a few minutes ago but I got another crash a few minutes after (and now I don't seem to be able to install rome total war but that's for another time). I have never had this problem ever before.

Recently (one week ago) had to replace my hard drive due to FAT issues. Everything has worked fine, but today after booting up and going to settings I got this same error (reference by pointer). Rebooted and all seems to be working well; however, as I read thru this thread there are so many directions and phrases that are absolutely a foreign language to me.

    My questions

    Is this error common?

What does it mean in layman's terms (without all the tech language) ?

    Is this error fatal ?

Do I need to get my computer tech guru (who is on speed dial) to work his magic?(because even though in a past career I was a computer programmer, I am not a tech person!)

    Emme
