Error code 409

Since yesterday (05/23) when I open (turn-on) my computer, I get the error code User Disabled (409). (see atch)

Any ideas what is causing this and how to correct it?

FYI I'm using an HP h8-1280t, Win 7/64, 3gb mem, 1tb hdd, Norton security.

Everything is working normally including all items requiring a user id/pw. Checked MSCONFIG and don't see anything requiring log-in info that is not running.

To delete a disabled item you need to recheck it before you can delete it.

To identify what loads when you boot use Autoruns (freeware from Microsoft).

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902

With Autoruns you can uncheck an item, which disables it from starting, or you can right click an item and then delete it. If you uncheck you can recheck to re-enable the item. It is a much safer approach than editing the Registry and better than using msconfig.

Run Autoruns and select the Everything tab. Click File, Save and, using the scroll to the right, change the “Save as type” option from Autoruns Data (*.arn) to Text (*txt). The file name changes to AutoRuns.txt. Click the Save button and upload the file to your OneDrive as a shared file and post as a link here.

A useful feature of the programme is that you can right click an item and select Search Online to get information about the item selected.

Thank you Gerry C J Cornell for your response to my post. Be aware that I'm not very knowledgeable on many things in this area, so I never do something with asking additional questions.

Used your link for autorun. Ran it with Windows entries hidden. Using the buttons on the top, I looked through everything there. I came across several items highlighted in yellow and some in magenta.

I took a snip of a couple of those in yellow and will include them here, wondering if they are the cause of my problem. Any guidance, recommendations greatly appreciated.

The items highlighted in yellow are where the Windows Registry is referring to a file that no longer exists at the location on disk specified.

Please use Autoruns to delete ?? entries where the words “File not found” appear. With Autoruns you can uncheck an item, which disables it from starting, or you can right click an item and then delete it. Click the Everything tab and look for the rows highlighted in yellow. To delete a disabled item you need to recheck it before you can delete it.

Please upload the Autoruns file to your OneDrive as a shared file and post as a link here.

Nothing but problems. When I open Autoruns, scroll to a yellow entry and either uncheck it or right click to delete

I'm denied (see atch 1). If I click on File, Run As Administrator, or Run As Administrator after clicking delete, again denied (atch 2) and then Autoruns reopens and everything is blank and nothing comes up regardless of what button I click on the menu bar (atch 3)

I've uploaded the Autoruns page to my OneDrive. Do you want to access it? If so, how do I set that up?

I'm at the point of just giving up as nothing seems to work and I feel I don't have enough "smarts" to get this done. My next step is to restore to an earlier time.

I really appreciate your assistance, but I don't want to tie you up when you could be  helping someone else who isn't ![](https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/8d3027dd-ac92-43f1-8199-1e301cdf38b1?platform=QnA)as uniformed as me. By the way, I probably have atchs misnumbered.
