Kernel Security Check Failure problem

Hello. I have problems with Kernel Security Check Failure. Previously i had corruption problems which i could not fix so i decided to format my PC. I formated my C drive which i always had Windows installed, i left D drive because i only put random stuff of files from programs like AutoCAD, GraphicSoft etc.. and some downloaded movies.. and nothing else releated to system. So after formating it went well, i installed chipset drivers. First time after formating and booting i had no GPU drivers installed, but after chipset installation suddely they are there? I have AMD. When i go to properties on My PC to see drivers first time it was only Intel HD 4400 (i have i3 cpu) and bellow it Microsoft Adapter Display. After my chipset driver was installed AMD drivers were automaticaly installed without me even touching anything, without putting CD of driver and installing, they just installed by themselvs, is this normal? So then when i used DDU to clean uninstall GPU drivers that i already had i installee latest Crimson 17.7.1 driver. It was succesfuly installed but after i restart PC and when windows starts to boot it gives ne blue screen and it says Kernel Security Check error. I read somewhere that it was driver corruption so i rolled back from Safe Mode because error was going in loop so i couldnt access windows. Problem was no longer there, but however after i install older drivers, in middle of installation blue screem comes, but not the same one with error, its like blue screen with lines accros like display was broken, if you know what i mean and then after several seconds PC just restarts. What could possibly be an issue? I checked SFC /scannow, checked memory, checked everything, scanned everything. Nothing waw wrong. I couldnt repair windows nor reset it from my CD. Please help me.

For your Windows to work smoothly, it is advised to keep your Windows and drivers up-to-date.

If you want to only have the old versions for your drivers, you can always roll them back. Here's how:

    1. Right-click Start, then select Device Manager.
    2. Right-click your driver, then select Properties.
    3. Click the Drivers tab, then Roll Back Driver.
    4. Click Yes in the Driver Package rollback.

Let us know how it worked.

Is it necessery to update chipset, cpu and other drivers too? I didnt do any of that before when installing gpu drivers worked flawlessly. Now, how come windows has automaticaly installed drivers for chipset, gpu, cpu etc.. after formatting? When i had to use drivers that came on CD's before to make internet and everything else work? Is there any way to stop windows from autonaticaly detecting and installing drivers after clean install of windows? Let me quote what one dude on youtube video said "IMPORTANT: when you click update driver you download the "Microsoft" driver.. you can look at the signature in the properties page and see if you have the Nvidia/AMD driver or the microsoft version of it... and its the later that causes all the problems. And if you are using Windows 10, make sure you TURN OFF the automatic updates, after i manually installed the driver from nvidia/amd software, windows updated the driver and installed the microsoft version of it and i had the problem again." I turned that off and even noticed under signature of my current AMD 13.251.9001.1001 that it says Digital Signature: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compability Publisher.

    Hi Bega,

You may use an old version of your drivers that are compatible with the Windows version you're in. But if your driver requires an updated version of your Windows, then it might be really needed for your drivers to work perfectly.

Let us know if you have further queries.

Hello, sorry for late reply. I did more research on internet, and im wondering, when i found one source on net it says that driver i installed isnt supported by my version of windows, so does that mean since i havent updated my windows completely since formatting that i need to update my windows to latest updates available in order to make latest drivers for GPU work? I tried playing Fortnite game, it ran without problems but it still warned me that my current drivers 13.251.0.0 has problems and i need to update to latest, so it recommended 16.3. or 16.4 i dont remember driver, so does that mean this driver with currently updated windows can work only? Which means that my currently updated Windows can only support drivers up to 16.3 or 16.4? Do i need to update my Windows 8.1 64 bit completely to make drivers from 2017 work?
