For the past week or so, I get this pop up "Windows script host runtime library," every time I open Yahoo mail.  I've seen references to it in this community but I still don't understand what it is.  Thank you.

    Hello,

The Windows Script Host is an automation technology for Windows operating systems that provides scripting abilities. It is useful for logon scripts, administration and general automation.

As for the error message you're getting, it is a possible setup issue, or an out-of-date software issue. If you're on a machine that gives you limited access to things, that can be the source of the message.

It could be something missing or outdated software from your computer that is needed to properly display the site or image.

Confirm if you're using the application or accessing said site through a browser.

Send us your response regarding this so we could further check and provide a more established workaround.

    Regards.

I don't understand any of this.  I am using a two year old pc with Windows 7 Home Premium.  I only get this message when on the Yahoo mail site.  Maybe it's something on their end.

If you're using a desktop application to access your Yahoo Mail, try to update said application or uninstall then reinstall. If the issue persists, contact their support to get further assistance.

If you're using a browser to access the Yahoo Mail site, do indicate the browser you're using. To isolate the issue, use other browsers, then check if you'd get the same pop-up message. You may also try clearing cache, and updating it if available.

    Hope this information helps.

    All the best!

So, should we run the addon that is being offered--when Microsoft doesn't even list the addon as a download?
