I have Windows 10 Home Edition OS. Is it normal for me to have two system32 folders, one named System32 and the other system32? It appears one is the duplicate of the other as the files inside appear to be the same.

Thats not right, system32 should be jam packed with system files, .exes and dlls for various Windows components.

When did you first notice this?

    Is the system functioning normally?

Can you install, launch applications, use attached hard devices?

Well it looks like an exact replica of your actual System32 folder

Have you ever restored from a backup or was your system originally Windows 7 and then updated

Either way, I would leave well enough alone as the only resolution to this, is to clean install Windows 10

I just noticed this recently. But to your comment, BOTH folders are jam packed with system files, etc. The question is why I have two folders with the same name, one with a capital 'S' and the other not.

Yes, the laptop (Samsung) is operating normally although it does seem to be slow.

Nope, never restored from a backup. Only standard updates from Microsoft plus the upgrade from Windows 8.1 to 10.
