I keep getting  a message Active Comm has stopped working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Evidently there has been no solution, because I have not heard a reply for the problem. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Please, be simple, I am not an expert with computers.

I just the same error for the first time. I discovered that I had somehow slipped into airplane mode and could not connect to internet. Turning off airplane mode seemed to correct problem.

    Hi Eddie,

Aside from the error message the original poster is getting, will you be able to provide a screenshot of the other error? Before proceeding to any further troubleshooting, let's first try to diagnose and fix common connection problems using the Network troubleshooter. To run the Network troubleshooter, follow these steps:

    1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Network troubleshooter, and then select Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
    2. Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that resolves the problem.

If the troubleshooter can't identify the problem, proceed with updating the network adapter driver. If the issue persists, try to install the driver in compatibility mode. You may refer to the steps below:

    1. Right-click on the driver and select Properties.
    2. Select Compatibility tab.
    3. Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop-down list.
    4. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

Let us know how it turns out for you.

Thanks for helping me know how to send a picture of my problem.

Thank you for the screenshot you've provided.

For further checking, we'd like to know more information:

    • Is your computer connected to a network/domain?
    • Were there any external devices connected to the computer?

    Regards.
