I like to know to hot use spatial anchors in unity.

Hi. I downloaded and tried spatial anchors sample. It worked but I don't understand how. I want to create a simple version of it. Is there a step by step guide where it explains the code parts. why we use them, what does it for. I like to create a spatial anchor and link it to a 3d object then close the app and start again and see the 3d object at same place. How can I do it? Is there a step by step guide? Thanks.
