The system cannot find the file specified. Error: 80070002

I recently installed Samsung 860 EVO 250GB and it loads OS only. The arrangement is made so that both SSD along with HDD can stay alive. And hence, I replaced CD/DVD writer with existing HDD and installed SSD in place of HDD. But right after that, I started receiving an error on Windows startup.

I did/fixed everything that Google got to suggest. Yes, almost 5-7 methods for eliminating that has been accomplished. But none has solved this issue so far. Therefore, please provide a working solution and it will be appreciated a lot.

    Hi techenthu,

This may be a file naming issue, in the file name I am unsure if that is a capital i or a lowercase L

Once the file name is correct, and that exit script is inserted, that error will go away . . .

I can try small "i" too. But do I need to delete the existing one as you can see in a previous attached image?

    Try running these programs:

    MBAM free: https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/

    Eset online scanner: http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/

    Adwcleaner: https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/

If these do not fully remove the virus/malware then it will be wise to register with a malware removal site to receive dedicated malware removal instructions, an expert will remain with you throughout the process until confirmation that your PC is 100% clean.

What on earth makes you feel it's a virus caution! It's a drive partition related error.

Because I’ve seen the same error multiple times with other users & it has usually pointed to a malware problem or remnants of same.

If all the other solutions have not worked then please try those programs & run the scans.

    Hi techenthu,

If the previous file existed, just replace all the text in the pre-existing file with that exit script and save that . . .
