Out of nowhere, I am having issues syncing notebooks on OneNote for Windows 10. I see all of my work on OneNote in the browser, but I keep getting an error telling me to sign in. The error reads as: "To sync this notebook, sign in to OneNote." "Page last synced at 10:55 PM | E0000024 de2nn 40001 | 71dbc15b-e062-402e-a534-35c3384fbefe 202103160255". I can see all of the pen markings but none of the files I print into sections.

With Windows 10 and the version you shared, you have access to the Universal version of OneNote. However, sometimes your cache or other files can become corrupted and prevent you from signing in to OneNote.

Have you tried to reset OneNote. This is relatively simple, and you can do it by following these steps:

Note: Make sure all of your notebooks are available via mobile / online before the reset.

    1. Press Windows Key + I to open the Settings app. When the Settings app opens, navigate to Apps section.
    2. Select OneNote from the list and click on Advanced options.
    3. Now click the Reset button. Click the Reset button in the confirmation dialog to reset OneNote.

Now you should be able to start OneNote without any problems. After doing that, sign in and then go to 'More Notebook' section and you should be able to access your older notebooks and you synced.

If this doesn't help, do you have both accounts 'work/school and personal' configured in Windows 10 settings?

I'm sorry to hear none of these solutions have helped you.

The only other fixes I would recommend you try are the following:

    Installing Office OneNote 2016

    1. Sign in to the web version of OneNote. If everything works, it means that the problem is related to the desktop application.
    2. Click on OpenNote at the top right corner and you’ll be offered to choose between all versions of OneNote installed on your PC.
    3. Select OneNote 2016 or any other version of OneNote that came with Microsoft Office.
After doing that, OneNote 2016 should open and you’ll be able to sign-in without any problems. This is more of a workaround than a solution.

    Checking your firewall settings
After reaching, several users online have reported that they are unable to sign in to OneNote due to their firewall settings. According to them, the firewall was blocking the connection to OneNote and caused this issue to occur.

To fix the problem, it’s advised to change your firewall settings and allow OneNote to go through your firewall. If you’re in a corporate environment, be sure to ask your network administrator to change this for you. If you are running a third party firewall application you should be able to allow OneNote connection.

    Uninstall all Office 365 applications
Removing office 365 desktop applications and then reinstall them from the download area of the web portal is a last resource but it definitely should resolve the OneNote sign in issue.

All updates for Windows 10 have been installed. Can you elaborate on where I can find and install OneNote 2016?

The easiest way to get Office 2016 download is by visiting the Microsoft Virtual Agent. Ask this question: "Where is OneNote 2016?" The virtual agent will give you a direct download for either 32-bit or 64-bit.

Changing the Primary Account on Windows 10 might be the simple solution we are needing to achieve. To do this, follow these steps: Press Windows + I to open Settings, then go to “Your email and accounts”. Select the account that you want to sign out and click Remove. After removing all, add them again. Set the desired account first to make it the primary account.

Thank you. By the way, the problem seems to have fixed itself today. The only thing I did was reset the app again, uninstall it, restart my computer, then installed the app again. Somewhere in the middle, the error resolved (for now, at least). Thanks for your help, Brandon.
