So basically I accidentally uninstalled java from my computer because some apps were acting up. I figured I could just reinstall it. This was not the case. Anytime I would try to install at the very end of the install process it will show an error code that looks like this:My Computer specifications are: Intel Core i5-7500 at 3.40GHz, 16gigs of RAM, a founders edition gtx1070.

Anyway please help me out with this problem it is quite frustrating.

Check if jp2launcher.exe running in Task Manager. The install will fail if there is an application or task running at the time of install.

That did not help, I looked, nothing of the sort. and I also shut down all current programs/apps and tryed. No luck. I think oddly enough it almost seems like you need java to install java

You should try to restart your computer and download Java from Internet Explorer instead of Microsoft Edge

    Hi, LucasSturzenbecher

My name is Maritza and I am an Independent Advisor. I would be happy to help you today.

I recommend using SFC. During the analysis carried out by SFC on the files of the system, it will check the versions of each one of them and in case it finds one that has been overwritten or is damaged, the tool itself will proceed to recover a good version of that file to replace it. It is a tool based on the command prompt that offers several commands to perform these tasks of file analysis and recovery.

Check this link, it is to run (Scannow and Dism) that are used to repair Windows system files.

The problem Lucas has isnt associated with the Windows System Files, but with the Java installation proccess. Also, if he ever did have a problem with the Windows Files he could simplily use the command "sfc **/scannow"**instead of having to download a 3rd party software.
