Windows (appears to have) force updated sometime today. I booted my computer up while out and about, and encountered a "stack overflow error" with explorer.EXE.
I followed the following guide (https://www.google.com/amp/s/theitbros.com/how-to-fix-windows-10-flashing-screen/amp/) which appears to have caused the error to corrupt the logon UI, an obvious issue. I have tried many things, up to trying to reset windows, and even this fails. I am able to bring up the windows recovery menu with some finagling, however.
I am not able to run any programs on the computer itself due to the worsening of the issue. This also prevents starting in safe mode, at least in the conventional manner i tried.
I am stumped. Could someone assist me?

It's sfc /scannow with the space in the middle.
DISM repair image offline: https://www.ghacks.net/2018/03/16/use-dism-to-f...
Alright, none of the images following are feasible. I am going to cut my losses and try a full reset, or a factory reset, failing that
I'd wipe the drive in case it is heavily infected.
The deep clean Reset can do this but it must be done from bootable media.
Better to do it yourself during the Clean Install
follow the gold standard Clean Install in this link which compiles the best possible Install of Windows which will stay that way as long as you stick with the tools and methods given, has zero reported problems, and is better than any amount of money could buy: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...
Make sure during the booted install to follow the illustrated steps to delete all partitions down to Unallocated Space to get it cleanest, then click Next to let it auto-create the needed partitions, format them and begin install - this makes it foolproof.
I missed this post. I remembered the SFC space, but i will attempt the offline DISM now. Thanks again for the help
