Constantly getting Microsoft Edge error: Stop Code: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED | Error Report on MSN site pages

Question

I am constantly getting Microsoft Edge error: Stop Code: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED | Error Report on MSN site pages.  See screenshot below.  When this happens it required that I End Task on Edge in order to close the page as it is unresponsive.  Because it is unresponsive I also cannto copy and past the URL of the page here.  Please see the second screenshot below for the URL.

This is malware - you need to get rid of this. Do not call the number or purchase anything from them.

Here are the steps you need to complete:

1. Go to Malwarebytes.com
2. Download the free download
3. Install and scan
4. It will find some malware, please clean it and restart your computer

This should fix the issue.

That's not the issue.  I run Malwarebytes all the time and each time after receiving this error.  This is coming form MSN pages...

Hi this is definitely a scam - please see below, this is a tech support scam. It's caused by some adware/malware on your computer. Since you ran Malwarebytes you may need to use a different system like Spybot Search and Destroy

Please download this and do a scan. You can also try closing your Microsoft Edge and restarting it.

I didn't ask what it was!  I am aware that it is a scam. 

The point I clearly made is that this is coming from MSN pages on Edge.  I don't get this in Chrome.
