Excahnge Commulative upgrade

Hi All,

We have Exchange Server 2016 installed in our Environment build no. 15.1.225.42 15.01.0225.042 (Exchange is installed on Windows Server 2012 R2), which is not patched since installed. I want to install CU on the server.

Can I install CU16/CU19 directly or i have to install each CU one by One (CU1->CU2.....CU16). as we are facing lots of Issues in exchange server.

not able to open OWA or ECP. all the user outlook client status is showing reconnect

    Hi @Aziz Husain ,

    You can directly upgrade to CU20, which is the latest version and the most suggested now(since it contains a security update that is a very important patch).
    As you can follow the Practical365 guide provided by TroyWerelius to do the upgrade.

    For the second issue, are there any error messages when failed connecting to OWA/ECP?
    You can try the following methods to do some tests:

    1. Test-ServiceHealth It will show services not running.
    2. Get-ExchangeCertificate (Get-AuthConfig).CurrentCertificateThumbprint It will throw an error if your certificate is incorrect.
    3. Check if there are any related Event Logs.

    Also I think you could first try upgrading, if you are not using the DAG, you could directly upgrade after installing the Prerequisites.
