500 internal server error on web app

Currently getting 500 internal server error on azure. app works locally, and in regular production deployment. ZipDeploy of current functioning deployment does not work. All files are in wwwroot where they should be, front end referencing correct files just as in regular functioning production deployment. May be related to virtual network, don't know. Nothing in kudu/deployment logs, all "succeeded".

What app any application logs. 500s normally mean something occurred that prevented your application from loading. Have gone throughhttps://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/overview-diagnostics and https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/troubleshoot-http-502-http-503?

thanks Ryan. The app is cidevv-vestaevv.azurewebsites.net Have app and server logging enabled this is where I'm currently looking

I know it says 400 error in the log, in the console I'm getting 500 errors. Will check back tomorrow. Regards.

Hi @Steven Bowler ,

I was able to navigate to the root of your site. The highlighted section of the console indicates the login workflow isn't configured properly. The request to the authenticated endpoint doesn't have the correct token. You can review https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/configure-authentication-provider-aad or choose which ever provider on how to secure your app for authenticated users.
