Network sharing stopped working

I had a network share set up between two windows 11 computers on my home network, and today the share became inaccessible. It was working fine yesterday, not it's not letting me connect.

I followed the instructions I could find, checked updates etc on both machines, no dice.

Any ideas on how to get what should be a simple, basic, CORE piece of functionality working again?

The troubleshooters have been completely useless; basically it said sharing is not working, but offered no further information.

    Hello,RakeshMalik

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community.

Understanding that the network share you have set up between two Windows 11 computers has stopped working, the issue you are enquiring about regarding network sharing may be related to a number of aspects such as network security, access rights, file permissions, etc. It is an advanced use of computers and is beyond the scope of support of our forums, and is better suited for posting in Microsoft Learn (English only, you can use the translation tool to help with communication), a board intended for advanced users like you.

You can ask a question by clicking "Ask a Question" and an expert in the field can provide a more specialised solution.

I can't help you, but I'll keep the question on file in case one of our wonderful volunteers comes up with an idea for you.
