Windows Script Host, Can not find script file TimeTrack Pro Inc\TimeLog.js

Hi,

I recently deleted a folder from C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\TimeTrack Pro Inc. I thought it looked "fishy" as I recently had a Malware on my PC.

I am getting a Widows Script Host error every couple of minutes stating that it can find the "TimeLog.js" file.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

What happens if you delete them?

Does the issue persist in a clean boot state?

Type “msconfig” (without quotes) and press Enter.

In the System Configuration window, select the Services tab.

Check the box next to “Hide all Microsoft services”. Ensure you do it carefully, and not disable all Microsoft services.

    Click on “Disable all”.

Select the Startup tab and click on “Open Task Manager”.

In the Task Manager window, select each startup item and click on “Disable”.

Close Task Manager and click on OK in the System Configuration window.

    Restart your computer.

When I try to remove the Items on Autorun, I keep getting "Failed to delete".

Does the issue persist in a clean boot state? Do you mean after a restart? If yes, then yes the issue still persists.

I have also noticed that when I unchecked those items earlier, the "TimeLog.url" has become checked again automatically after a couple of seconds.

    Update:

I managed to delete both Items, but I still get the error prompt.

The items no longer show on AutoRun

No, the clean boot is very different. I sent you the steps earlier on how to try clean boot. Please let me know.

Apologies, I did try those steps. Still the same issue.

    Thank you.

Any trace of the item in the Everything tab of Autoruns?
