Audio Input Devices Not Showing

My headset has a built in microphone into it, but when I plug it in the microphone doesn't work. The audio does, but not the microphone. I have looked on many forums and have tried to fix the problem, but nothing seems to be working. I have never had this problem before, even on the same headset. I have tried the following to fix this:

  1. Restarting my computer and updating it.
  2. Updated all of my audio drivers, they all said they were up to date.
  3. I tried disabling all my audio drivers and re-enabling them.
  4. Disconnected all Bluetooth devices on my computer. My headset is wired but I thought that a wireless could've been connected.

If there are any fixes or solutions that I have not tried, please post them as I'm willing to try anything.

    Hello again

Whenever I try to install the driver this message appears: Your system does not meet the operating system requirements. Update has been cancelled. (9998)

Do you have any idea why this shows up?
