Audio Input Devices Not Showing

My headset has a built in microphone into it, but when I plug it in the microphone doesn't work. The audio does, but not the microphone. I have looked on many forums and have tried to fix the problem, but nothing seems to be working. I have never had this problem before, even on the same headset. I have tried the following to fix this:

  1. Restarting my computer and updating it.
  2. Updated all of my audio drivers, they all said they were up to date.
  3. I tried disabling all my audio drivers and re-enabling them.
  4. Disconnected all Bluetooth devices on my computer. My headset is wired but I thought that a wireless could've been connected.

If there are any fixes or solutions that I have not tried, please post them as I'm willing to try anything.

I have tried other wired headsets but they had the same problem.

I have tried to install the driver but even that didn't seem to help with anything.

    Hello Calum,

Thank you for updating me that information. If the issue still persists, Please try performing an In-place Upgrade. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while your personal files, settings and installed applications will not be removed.

Download the media creation tool(Click Download tool now) and save it to your computer.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

Open the tool and select Upgrade this PC now.

Make sure to select Keep personal files and apps.

It might take some time to install Windows 10. Your computer will restart a few times, Make sure you don’t turn off your PC

Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.

    Kind regards,

    John DeV
