Hello!

I am trying to enable secure boot to upgrade to windows 11, but I have to convert my boot drive from mbr to gpt. However when I try to do this via the mbr2gpt program I get this error message. Could anyone help me? I would like to convert without having to backup or clear my boot drive.

    1. Run command prompt as an administrator. Enter

    bcdboot C:\Windows /s C:

    Make sure it reports success.

    1. Mark Door systeem gereserveerd as inactive.

    diskpart

    select disk 0

    select partition 1

    inactive

    1. Reboot.

Before running the bcdboot and the MBR2GPT commands, I'd suggest turning off WinRE and deleting the Recovery partition. Otherwise, the EFI partition will sit between the volume C and the Recovery partition and your Recovery partition will be discarded by the OS due to its small capacity. Recovery partitions nowadays should be at least 750 MB to accommodate winre.wim.)

    • reagentc /disable
    • diskpart
    • select disk 1
    • select part 2
    • set id=07
    • exit

Note: Even if the reagentc /disable command fails, please run the remaining commands.

Now, use Disk Management to delete the Recovery partition and merge the unallocated space with the C drive.

Launch msinfo32.exe, and click System Summary. Resize the columns in the right pane to make the entries visible, and post a screenshot of that screen.

This is actually a good idea, but given it's still MBR please use

    reagentc /disable

    diskpart

    select disk 1

    select partition 2

    set id=07

    exit

    :)
