I understand that you are having trouble receiving the verification code on your alternate email address, and no alternate methods are listed.
- Try restarting your PC a couple of times and then request the verification code again to your @live.com email address. See if the verification code is being received.
If the verification code is still not received, boot your PC in the Windows recovery environment screen and try some recovery methods. To boot your PC in WinRE,
1. On the sign-in screen, press and hold the shift key while you select Power > Restart. 2. On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > System restore.
• Select the date/time you would like to restore your computer.
• Once the system restoration is complete, try signing in with your PIN or password. • See if the verification code is being received.If you are still having issues, you can try other recovery options like startup repair or boot your PC in safe mode.
As a last resort, you can try resetting your PC without affecting your Personal files.
Select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Keep my files and proceed with Local re-installation.• Once completed, try resetting your PIN.
• Sign in with your Microsoft account.

I too am having that exact same problem. I cannot log into Windows since the last “Update”. It says it is sending me an email but there is no email. Yes, I have checked junk folders, etc. There also is no option for “no code:” or “try an alternative method”. Just the message that I am to receive an email from Microsoft which never comes. I have reset my PC multiple times, and reinstalled Windows (without disturbing files). Still the same issue. I am locked out of Windows. Please address this issue immediately as I am not the only user having this problem.
