I tried to do that actually, but windows overwrited my only good restore point with a restore point that held the same problem.
AMD GPIO controller Code 43
It also seems to be causing a bunch of other drivers to stop working (PCI express root port, ACPI wake alarm, both i2c hid devices, intel wifi) because all of their errors are saying that they are waiting for another device and all are connected to the AMD gpio controller. I tried to update my chipset drivers but it did nothing. How do I fix this?? I would prefer not to reinstall Windows btw, plus I can't do it because since I have no wifi (the intel wifi driver does not work, yes i also reinstalled that driver) I would not be able to do a cloud reinstall. I would not like to do a local re-installation because I am worried it will reuse corrupted drivers.

2025-07-01T21:56:12+00:00 Hi ,
Open the command prompt (admin) and run the commands: sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, wait for the process to finish and restart the computer.
Then perform a clean boot and if you want to uninstall applications that you do not use.

Can you download the drivers and install them by remembering a download and bios update.

2025-07-01T21:56:57+00:00 Also, I noticed that I probably did not install my chipset driver correctly since the one displayed in Device Manager is a different version then the one I installed. I installed the driver directly from the package and I am unable to get any new software to help me uninstall/install drivers since the lack of a functional AMD GPIO controller has messed with my Wifi Driver. Can you please help me with this?
