Windows Sandbox failed to initialize. Access is denied. (0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

Question

am getting this error message after updates it just started 2 days ago am trying to fix this issue Windows Sandbox failed to initialize.
Access is denied. (0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)) i have done everything and i dont feel like having to reformat my pc fully just for the damn thing to work again plz help cuz i have too much on my pc that is what i keep getting and i have done all this Restarting the computer

• Running Windows Update to ensure all patches are installed
• Checking Windows features to ensure Sandbox is enabled (tried also to reenable) and stilled getting that error i hope this issue gets fixed in the nexted update or if someone can help me with the issue

Bonjour

Déjà avec la version 24H2, qui n'est pas insider, Build 26100.3915, la sandbox ne fonctionne plus correctement.

Plusieurs problèmes successifs constatés:

1. Impossible d'accéder aux options(activer/déactiver Sandbox), le menu ne s'affiche pas

2)après plusieurs corrections manuelles, selon plusieurs forums, le menu est disponible mais l'application ne démarre pas. Une dépendance à Dotnet 9?? Réinstallation successive et fastidieuse des principaux composantes Win11

3. Sandbox ne démarre plus car l'accès à certains fichiers est interdit avec le message d'erreur correspondant
4. après une pénible réinstallation, sandbox ne démarre finalement que en mode administrateur
5. sur une machine virtuelle de test avec Windows 11 Insider Preview, Sansdbox ne fonctionne par contre plus du tout, même en tant que Admin

Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (build 26100.4202)

was having same issue. ran through the troubleshooting steps on my own before coming here. only after installing .NET 9 (using link provided in event viewer log) AND running sandbox as an admin was i able to get sand box working once again.

also.... you do not need to download the ISO anymore to do a repair install of windows. just do the following -

start -> settings -> system -> recovery and choose the option called "fix problems using windows update" (reinstall now)
