When trying to install version 11.0.2.337 of the NVIDIA app I receive the vague error message: "Error Code: 0x80070005". I've disabled my Anti-Virus (Windows 11 built-in AV) as well as Windows Firewall. I've ran the NVIDIA App Installer in Administrator Mode. I've also made sure to give my user account as well as all Administrators permission to "Create Symbolic Links" within the Security Policy settings of Windows 11. I've given Full Control Permissions access to my account as well as all user accounts to the NVIDIA Corporation folder within my C: Drives Program Files folder. I've tried troubleshooting with the instructions provided on NVIDIA's Support Knowledgebase Page: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/422, but nothing provided here has solved that error code. If I were to guess I believe my issue would have something to do with step 3: "3. Please review Group Policy settings, security restrictions, or the system configuration that might prevent the installer from completing its actions.", but the page doesn't detail exactly which settings to change. I would appreciate any and all assistance, advice and help. Please and thank you!

Thank you for the help! I unfortunately wasn't able to respond as the thread for some reason became unavailable and although I can see that people have replied according to email notifications, when I clicked on the link for the reply, I was met with an error saying that the thread was unavailable. I have good news. I actually did figure out culprit and in turn, the solution to the problem.
So after a week or so of troubleshooting I've found the reason for my particular cause for the 0x80070005 error code when installing the NVIDIA App. According to my "LOG.setup.exe.log" file located within "C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NVIDIA app\Installer\Logs", there is a line that indicates the "0x80070005" error has to do with denial of access to the Windows System32 folder when installing a file into that particular folder:
"41.527 | ERROR: [NVI2.NVFileAction] 850@CNVFileAction::InvokeAction : Exception {0x80070005 - Access is denied.; File: FilePath.cpp; Line: 1917; While copying C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Installer2\VirtualAudio.Driver.{1CA02681-FFA8-482A-BFE1-283634A43977}\nvaudcap64v.dll to \C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvaudcap64v.dll} thrown while performing file action. "
So according to the log file, "C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvaudcap64v.dll" was not able to be installed due to insufficient permissions for TrustedInstaller to install it, thus it rolls back the installation as soon as it encounters this error. I was able to fix this issue by allowing Full Control permissions to TrustedInstaller and the current logged in Administrator (my Windows 11 Account) by doing the following. 1. Go to Local C: -> Windows -> then right click System32 -> click Properties -> Go to Security, then for both TrustedInstaller and your currently logged in Administrator account click on Edit and make sure Allow is checked on Full Control click Apply, Then OK. Make sure this is done for both TrustedInstaller and your current Administrator account just in case. This should provide proper permissions for the installer to access your System32 folder.
I also have this exact error message when I recently tried to perform any changes to the Nvidia app, Nvidia control panel, etc.
I attempted to give TrustedInstaller and Administrator full control, but the option to do so is greyed out as seen in the following image.
Is there any way to fix this? Am I simply in the wrong menu?
Try going to Windows folder, right-click on System32, select Properties. On the Security Tab, select Advanced, then select TrustedInstaller, select Edit. Make sure the "Type and "Applies to" matches the provided screenshot. Make sure "Full Control" Selected under the "Basic permissions" then click OK and apply for all.
