REAGENTC.EXE Unable to update Boot Configuration Data. Multiple Recovery Partitions

Unable to install Windows 11 23H2 update from 22H2 with error code "0x80070002" unable to determine if sufficient disk space available. I have run chkdsk, scannow, removed old softwaredistribution folders etc but each time it fails to install.

I have since discovered that there is no winre.wim file when using reagentc /info. And when trying to enable reagentc it is unable to configure boot configuration data.

(Assuming you haven't turned off the computer after running those commands.)

If you're still in the Diskpart environment, please run:

    exit

This exits from the Diskpart environment.

    Then, run the following:

    xcopy /h Y:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD D:\

    format Y: /fs:FAT32 /q

    bcdboot D:\Windows /s Y: /f UEFI

    Post the output.

Note: When you're prompted for the volume label when running the 'format' command, type "ESP" and press Enter.

    Hi Peter,

Please restart the unit, boot into Windows normally, and see if you can upgrade to 23H2 or 24H2 using the ISO or via Windows Update.
