Hello! I keep getting this 10010 DistributedCom Error concerning "The Server Microsoft.Windows.Search_1.14.17.19041_neutral_neutral_cw5n1h2txyewy!ShellFeedsUI did not register with DCOM within the required time out" when I restart or start up my computer. Could someone assist me in solving this error from happening?

Respectfully,

I really understand that, and yes, it would be better if we could wait for the new update or a fix for the error you have encountered, I appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Hi Don, I appreciate your detailed information, since the issue persists, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Note: before doing this make sure to create a restore point: https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/help/402753...

    1. go to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
    2. Select Download Now, and select Run. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
    3. On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
    4. On the What do you want to do? page, select Upgrade this PC now, and then select Next.
    5. After downloading and installing, it should fix the issue.

Note: If the issue persists and since you have already submitted feedback, I suggest waiting for another update as the developers will check your feedback.

Hi, thank you for that information, I am also positive that it is the cause of the issue, in addition, have you done the troubleshooting steps provided above? or have you tried to uninstall the KB5043131?

Thank you for your reply but I have done everything suggested from here and from Windows 10 Help Forum and nothing works. The update is currently uninstalled and yet I still get the error on a restart. I also think that it may be coming from that Edge Update like I said that has all of a sudden put News and Interest running in the Task Manager even though it is turned off in the Task Bar. I have submitted Feedback though the MS Feedback Hub and several feedbacks through the Edge Browser Feedback Extension.

    Respectfully,

    Don
