Microsoft Authenticator is broken again

Why is this so hard.

I HAD the account. It was all set up and now it's all been reset. So I try to scan the QR code but Microsoft's OWN APP literally can't scan the QR code. How incredible is that?

Then the website offers me a string of numbers, but the app is offering two words. No where is the ability to put the numbers in the app or the two words into the website.

For the love of all things technology, please fix this. I have work to do.
