Brother Installed a game in my laptop, the game setup disabled the windows security but now there in no windows security in my settings, no virus and threat protection. Nothing. It just shows blank screen or this prompt sometimes.

Is there any way I can solve this without reinstalling windows?

Best just perform a repair installation which allows you to keep all your files and apps.

Go to the third download option at the following link and download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) for x64 devices. Make sure you choose the correct language option to match your installation.

    https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11

Once downloaded double click to mount the ISO, or right click and select Mount.

    Double click on setup.exe

Next click on Change how Setup downloads updates and select the option Not right now.

If the option to Keep personal files and apps is greyed out, abort the installation.

Malware is still active and has deleted Windows Defender related service configurations and files. You'll likely have to perform a repair installation once the malware is removed.

    • Download Fixlist.txt **** and save to the same folder FRST64.exe is in
    • Run FRST64 and press "Fix"
    • The computer will reboot to complete the fix

    Please upload Fixlog.txt.

Thanks. We should be able to fix this without a repair installation.

Start by going to C:\FRST\Quarantine\C\Program Files\FxSound LLC\FxSound and move or copy FxSound.exe to:

    C:\Program Files\FxSound LLC\FxSound

    Download and extract Fix.zip

Boot into safe mode and double click on Win11-service-fix.reg and allow it to merge with the registry. Restart.

    https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-10/ - method 6.

After the restart, right click on securityhealthsetup_e16941e14861a6d24750ecdf05c548189b33182a.exe and run as administrator. A couple of command windows should flash. If all goes well Windows Security should be working.

If it's all working, open an admin Windows Powershell and run:

    Get-MpPreference | fl

Post the output from the command.
