Hi I want to backup my PC and I have a few questions:

  1. Is good to use Windows backup and restore(Windows 7) as a backup method? Or should I use file history or OneDrive to backup?
  2. which settings should I use?
  3. does putting all my personal files into libraries help the backup process as I can only backup the libraries that contain all my data and not the entire hard disk?

Please navigate to OneDrive Settings - Sync and Backup - Manage Backup, where you can turn off synchronization of the desktop.

You should place your files into any of the five folders in this panel for OneDrive to back them up.

Won't using OneDrive affect my files?

Will using Onedrive help me recover files if I lose them if anything happened?

Yes, OneDrive backs them up to the cloud and you can always re-download them if the files are lost.
