installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 Redistributable Package

Dear Community,

I have a laptop, running Windows 10 operating system. I have the Firefox browser installed.

Would like to ask the community a very specific question, please? I am currently on a course of Ethical Hacking, and have been asked by the tutor to download the VirtualBox software. I go to the VirtualBox website. I then go to the Download link, and click on Windows hosts. However, when I click on the download, I get an error message. Get ready for a bit of a long message.

VirtualBox cannot be installed because you do not have Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 Redistributable Package. Please download it before installing VirtualBox.

Does anybody know how to install this piece of software, please? Would be eternally grateful for any answers,

Marek

I downloaded the version for x86. I then downloaded the version for x64.

I then went to the Virtual Box website (https://www.virtualbox.org) and downloaded the Windows hosts.

After downloading the two installers, did you run them?

    Dear All,

thanks for all your help. Yes, downloaded the file, but did not install it. When I installed it, the VirtualBox ran as it should have,

Go to this website: Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads | Microsoft Learn

Then scroll to: Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022

Then if you have a ARM processor PC click the ARM64 Link. If x64 then click that link etc. etc.

Run the setup and .,,., DONE
